Our Story

When I bought my first ounce of Gold and Silver, my thought was, I love what I'm holding and I would love to have more of it.

The luster and beauty of these precious metals, which can come in different shapes and sizes, immediately give you that sense of high value. By having them as lavish possession, it extends to its owners the entitlement that is due.

In my pursuit to acquire more of it, I noticed that bullion coins minted by various companies are indistinguishable. Not only they are very similar in design and craftsmanship, they are also machined coins which caused these pieces lose their novelty.

It felt like there is still a gap that needs to be filled, a satisfaction that needs to be achieved. I had purchased some very rare Roman gold coins which I loved. It was a composite of both our amazing history at a time when an Empire had conquered most of the known world. It was made out of 98% pure gold, a metal that I loved to have, to hold and accumulate more of. At this point, I started to think how it used to be done in ancient times and how the ancient minters of Rome did it and what did they consider. I possessed something that was not just high value because of its precious metal content. It was high value because of the elite cultural significance of where it came from.
I wanted to share this sense of prestige with others. I, of course, could never mint something exactly like the impressive, ancient coins I own. But I could share and remind the world of its significance. I aim to provide people the ability to stack and accumulate unique and handcrafted bullion coins that represent Roman history and connect them to it; one ancient Noble Crest at a time.

Veering away from the current and standard machined coins and offer what can bridge modern and ancient coins lead to the creation of hand crafted and minted coins with modern bullion standards. This lead to the creation of Empire Bullion Mint.

Coat of Arms

According to Encyclopaedia Britannica, Coat of Arms is the principal part of a system of hereditary symbols dating back to early Medieval Europe, used primarily to establish identity in battle. Arms evolved to denote family descent, adoption, alliance, property ownership, and, eventually, profession.

The origin of the term coat of arms is in the surcoat, the cloth tunic worn over armour to shield it from the sun’s rays. It repeated the bearer’s arms as they appeared on his banner or pennon and on his shield, and it was particularly useful to the heralds as they toured the battlefield identifying the dead. It also identified the knight in the social surroundings of the tournament. What today is popularly termed a “coat of arms” is properly an armorial or heraldic "achievement" and consists of a shield accompanied by a warrior’s helmet, the mantling which protects his neck from the sun (usually slashed fancifully to suggest having been worn in battle), the wreath which secures the mantling and crest to the helmet, and the crest itself (the term for the device above the helmet, not a synonym for the arms). Additions to the achievement may include badges, mottoes, supporters, and a crown or coronet.
